Placing your First Avon Order for New RepsPlacing your First Avon Order for New Reps

Placing your First Avon Order for New Reps – Here is the 3rd email I send out to new team members. On all 3 emails to my new reps, I copy their district sales manager so we can all get to know one another better especially since most of my team members are not local. You may use the district number and for a quick way to cc their district manager. For example: my district is 5612. If I sign up an Avon Representative in our district, I will cc [email protected]

Dear (Insert first name),

At Avon, we are dedicated to your success and will match your commitment with guidance and support every step of the way!

Everything probably still feels new to you, so I wanted to touch base and call out a few things that will be pretty important for you to know.

Here are a few basics that will help you get a feel for your new business environment:

· Place your Order!
Here’s your step-by-step guide to placing your orders:

· Avon Campaign Cycle!
With Avon , our ordering cycle is a two-week Campaign. That means you will have access to brand new products, special offers and sales EVERY TWO WEEKS! How fabulous is that?!

· Let’s Talk Timing!
To keep all of the Representative deliveries running smoothly, Avon is on a shipping system called the Representative Processing Schedule (RPS). You are on RPS (insert number) which means that you can submit an order every other (insert day of the week order is due) by midnight to qualify for the lowest possible shipping fees. I have attached a copy of your ordering schedule. Your first order for (insert first Avon campaign) is due (insert first Avon campaign due date).

Avon Tip to Remember: Our new brochures and business tools are ordered right along with your Customer orders, so skipping any Campaign will delay your receipt of the most up-to-date tools, demos and brochures.

· What’s the minimum?
In order to earn commission, your orders must total $50 each campaign. Our earning structure is based on a “The more you sell, the more you earn!” philosophy. Work it and give yourself a raise every two weeks!

As always, feel free to reach out to me with questions. I’m here to help you make the most of your business, so stay in touch!

Welcome New Avon Representatives Email

New Avon Representative Tips and Information

Welcome New Avon Representatives Email – This is the welcome email I send to new reps on my Avon team. I send them 3 emails within the first few days of signing up. I also try to find them on Facebook to connect personally and them add them to our Facebook group for our team. The more communication with new Avon Representatives, the better. It helps to try and communicate with your new team member by their preferred way of communication. Therefore, if your new Representative prefers text then text them, if he / she prefers phone conversations then call them, etc. Try different forms of communication with your team to get the most exposure.

Here’s another leadership tip: when you email your new team member, cc their district manager so he / she is aware you are in communication. To email the district manager / district assistant, the format is (district [email protected] – for ex: [email protected]).

I have my delivery preference for online customers set to direct delivery only. Read below and watch the video to hear my top tips for Selling Avon Online.

Sell Avon Online Successfully – Emily’s Top 10 Tips for Selling Online

10. Provide a variety of information on your blog posts and social media status updates to reach a large audience. For example, I like to write blog posts about: Avon products, recruiting, recognition for my team, Avon Representative tips, and promotions. Try to alternate what you write about according to the purpose of the article. I try to alternate blog posts with goals of finding new online customers and recruiting new team members so that I am equally promoting the opportunity for customers to buy and for potential new team members to Sign up to Sell Avon.

9. Mail Avon catalogs to eCustomers. Once you start getting consistent online sales, mail out Avon brochures to your eCustomers. I mail out current catalogs to any customers who have placed an order on my website in the prior 2 months. Check out Campaign Mailer – they provide services for mailing out brochures. Even though Avon offers an optional brochure with every online order, mailing out the brochure yourself will remind your customers to shop with you on your eRep website. Tip: Include a thank you note on the label with a coupon code for them to use on their next visit, your website address, and the valid online shopping dates.

Mail Avon Brochures to Customers

8. Use social media to promote your Avon business. Have you visited the Social Media Center (SMC) on Avon is constantly updating the SMC with new information and images to share with your fans and followers. Visit the SMC at least once a campaign to share news about products, the opportunity, and more. You can also use the share buttons on each product page of your eStore to promote new products, sales, or online exclusives. My favorite social media websites to share on are: Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, Twitter, GooglePlus, and LinkedIn. Also, check out Buffer as a way to automate and simplify your social marketing. This website allows you to schedule automated posts on Facebook pages, Facebook groups you moderate, and more so you can spend your time on revenue-generating tasks like marketing your business, increasing Avon sales, and growing your team instead of keeping “busy” on social media and not getting much accomplished.

Avon Social Media Share Buttons

7. Write blog posts to draw traffic to your website from search engines. If you aren’t familiar with the term “blog,” look it up on Google. There are all kinds of great articles out there on how to start a blog and what blogging is all about. I like to write blogs on different topics and then use social media to promote my blog. All of my hyperlinks and calls-to-action point visitors to my Avon eStore so they can buy online or Sign up to Sell Avon on my team. For a strong blog post, be sure to have plenty of content, use images, insert hyperlinks on important “keyword” phrases, use headers, and always include calls-to-action.

6. Keep up with current Avon free shipping and coupon codes. Some places to find current codes are: RetailMeNot, your web office in the email center, your eStore, and sometimes under incentives or campaign tools on Try signing up as your own customer by creating a profile on your eStore or use the eNewsletter widget to enter your email address and be notified of the latest and greatest Avon promotions. When I want to promote an Avon coupon code, I will write a blog post about it which automatically posts to LinkedIn and then share the link of the blog post on my Facebook page (which automatically posts to Twitter), my Facebook group, Pinterest, and GooglePlus. You can also tell your customers to go to Ebates before they do their shopping on your Avon website to get cash back on their purchase. Make sure they choose you as their representative before checking out. Tip: Always provide the following 4 pieces of information in your Avon coupon code posts: the offer, the code, the expiration, and your website.

Avon Coupon Code

5. Customize your Avon website. Keep the content on your eStore fresh and constantly updating. I do this through sharing blog posts on my eStore, having the Twitter app connected, and updating the main window with a custom message including the current Avon brochure, the online shopping dates, a coupon code, and How to Sign up to Sell Avon Online.

How to Post the Avon Brochure

4. Turn on your automated email program under personalization tools in your web office. I prefer to have the options for both campaign and promotional offers turned on in my email preferences. Although my customers receive a lot of emails, they always have the option to unsubscribe. For those who opt in for the emails, they are receiving a constant reminder to shop for Avon online on my website. I truly feel the benefits of having the automated email program turned on far outweigh the drawbacks. Plus, I hardly ever have anyone complain about getting too many emails and if they do…I happily help them unsubscribe from the program.

3. Whether you are talking to people daily about your Avon business or connecting with others through online marketing, be sure to have a way to collect their contact information. In person, I like to do monthly gift bundle drawings and use the Avon survey card to collect my customers’ contact information. I then keep record of my customers’ addresses for sending out marketing materials and brochures and enter those with an email address in my web office. To collect data from your online visitors, be sure to have the eNewsletter sign up widget and Believe in your Business widget displayed on the front page of your eStore.

2. Use a brightly colored label on the front of your Avon brochure encouraging online orders. With every Avon catalog I hand out, I like to offer 3 opportunities: 1) to buy from me face-to-face, 2) to shop on my website, and 3) to Become an Avon Representative on my team. To promote online orders, I include my contact information, my Avon website URL, and a message about free shipping and a coupon code on the label. I promote free shipping on all orders of $35 or more plus 20% off online orders of $50 or more using code: WELCOME or THANKYOU20. Both of these codes are valid for every customer one time each. Check your email center in your web office to make sure these codes are still valid.

1. Track your performance. I like to use my past years, months, and campaigns’ performance to track sales, online sales, recruiting, and leadership numbers to make sure I’m always improving upon my own results. For tracking website traffic, you can use Google Analytics and / or StatCounter on your Avon website. If you use an external blogging service like WordPress, there are also statistics to track for your blog. Although website traffic gives you an idea of what’s working and what isn’t as far as marketing tactics, the most important numbers to track are completed online sales and number of online appointments. When you have a peak in website traffic, online sales, or new online appointments, look back to see what you did differently so that you can repeat the actions that are producing favorable results.

Selling Beauty Online

As an Avon Representative, are you using Facebook to sell Avon onlineWith 1.11 billion monthly active users on Facebook, you should definitely have a presence for your Avon business if you are serious about selling Avon online (Source: Building an online customer base is a time consuming process and Social Media marketing is only a piece of the puzzle so don’t expect to start seeing immediate results but over time, it definitely pays off.

Sell Avon Online Using Facebook – Marketing your Avon Business

  • Sell Avon Online Using FacebookAdvertise your Facebook Page to Local Users – We’ve all heard the saying “you have to spend money to make money.” One idea on where to spend your marketing budget to gain more Avon customers is to advertise your page to get local Facebook users to become fans. You can advertise your page for as little as $1.00 / day on Facebook. After all, what good are your posts if no one is seeing them? One benefit of creating a Facebook ad is you can target demographically (ex: only females ages 18 – 65) and geographically (ex: within 25 miles of your hometown). For instructions setting up an advertisement for your Avon Facebook page, click on the gear on your Facebook profile – select Help – type in “Create an Ad” in the query box for detailed instructions.
  • Create a Facebook Page – One of the biggest advantages of creating a Facebook Fan Page vs. marketing your Avon business on your personal profile is you can attract an audience interested in hearing about your Avon offers. The last thing you want to do is scare off your friends and family by talking about Avon all of the time on your personal page. Other advantages to having a Facebook Fan Page include: monitoring the success of your posts with Facebook statistics, scheduling automated posts, and using Facebook apps to add other cool features to your page. For instructions on setting up your Avon Facebook page, click on the gear on your Facebook profile – select Help – type in “Create a Page” in the query box for detailed instructions.
  • Engage your Audience – Use pictures and links to engage your Avon Facebook fans. When a new campaign starts, I like to create a photo album with my favorite deals from that specific campaign. I include pictures of the Avon catalog and all of the valid flyers, the new products being introduced, and my favorite sales from that campaign. Not only does this create excitement for your Avon customers to see the latest and greatest Avon products / sales, but it also gives you ideas on what to share on your Facebook page during that campaign time frame. To save the photos from the current campaign, go to your personal Avon website – click on “Shop my eBrochure” – find the page you want to save to your photo album – right click and select “Save Image As.” Then on your Facebook page, click on Photos – then Albums – Create New Album. Throughout the campaign, share different photos from that album to notify your customers of sales and new products. Another Facebook tip to sell Avon online is to always include your website when you post. Remember to include http:// or www. in front of your website address so your fans can click directly through to your website. Also, be sure to post when Avon offers free shipping. No one likes to spend money on shipping so to stay updated on free shipping offers: turn on your automated emails in your web office – sign up for your own email subscription – then post when Avon offers free shipping deals. When posting these offers, include a picture of the offer, describe the offer (ex: Free shipping on any Avon order), mention the coupon code, when the offer expires, and of course your web address where they can place their online Avon order.
  • Automate your Posts – Did you know you can schedule your Facebook posts? We all know most of us Avon ladies are busy and posting on Facebook may not be our first priority. To ensure you are consistent with your Facebook posts, set up automated posts. When typing in your status, you’ll notice a little clock icon at the bottom left corner of the box. Click on that clock – enter the year, month, day, and time you’d like your status to post – click “Schedule” and voila, your post will appear when you want it to even if you’re not on Facebook. Just be sure to check your page often in case one of your fans has questions or makes a comment which requires a response. You can also include photos in automated posts. Select “Photo / Video” in the status box – then “Upload Photos / Video” – you’ll then see the same clock icon appear in order to schedule your post with a picture or video clip.
  • Measure your Activity – Every good marketer knows measuring what works and what doesn’t is all part of the game in finding your best marketing techniques. When you have an Avon Facebook page as opposed to a personal profile, you have the advantage of seeing your page insights including: how many people see your post (Reach), the number of people who have clicked on your post (Engaged Users), how many people liked, commented on, or shared your post (Talking About This), and the percentage of people who created a story from your post out of those who saw your post (Virality). Each statistic gives you an idea of which posts your fans like and which aren’t so popular. You can click on each of these columns to sort by largest to smallest or vice versa to find out what works and what doesn’t. You can also click on the number of engaged users to see if you had any negative feedback. Negative feedback means someone hid your post. The more people you reach, the more likely you will have negative feedback so I wouldn’t pay too much attention to this number. However, if a certain type of post gets more negative feedback than normal, you may want to reconsider posting any similar types of posts in the future. Most importantly, use the statistics to see which types of posts your fans like the best, what times of day are most popular, and how frequently you should post. Sell Avon Successfully
