Makeup Marketing Online training courses are live and recorded web conferences with marketing, online, sales, recruiting, and leadership tips created by Emily Seagren for current Avon Representatives in the United States. The courses contain information on how to customize your Avon website, drive more traffic to your online store to potentially sell more Avon online, and use social media to build a bigger online Avon business.

The online training courses are about an hour in length each. These courses were created by Emily Seagren, Independent Avon Representative, and are not approved, endorsed, or affiliated with Avon Products, Inc. All material is based on my own personal knowledge and experience as an Avon Representative. Please remember to review Avon’s Advertising and Marketing Guidelines carefully and use your own judgement on what is and isn’t allowed before following any of my advice.

About the Trainer, Emily Seagren

Emily Seagren has been an Avon Representative since January 2008. She sells at the President’s Council level (over $112,000 annually), owns a Licensed Avon Beauty Center in Rockford, Illinois (Avon Store Perryville), and is an Executive Unit Leader with almost 200 Avon Representative team members in over 30 states nationwide. Emily sold over $46,000 of Avon products online and recruited 183 team members in 2014 as a result of her online marketing efforts. In 2014, her nationwide team of reps, Avon Team Momentum, sold over $513,600 in Avon products.

In 2015, Emily was awarded the prestigious award of Avon Woman of Enterprise. The Avon Woman of Enterprise award is presented to the Avon Representative who not only is leading and growing a successful Avon business, but does so while being a role model for other Representatives through her embodiment of the Avon Values of Belief, Integrity, Respect, Trust and Humility. Among the many North America Avon business owners, Avon selects only one Representative to receive this annual award.

Emily has earned all expense-paid trips to Hawaii, Punta Cana, Cancun, Puerto Rico, Hollywood, San Diego, Las Vegas, New York, Orlando, a cruise to the Bahamas, and a cruise to Alaska. In July 2014, Emily had brain surgery to remove a benign tumor. She was especially grateful at this time that she had a built a big Avon business that produces when she cannot work. Her goal is to reach Senior Executive Unit Leader and Inner Circle (over $220,000 annually) by the end of the 2016 cycle. She provides free marketing tips and training to Avon Reps across the country through blog posts and videos listed at www.makeupmarketingonline.com/training and www.makeupmarketers.com.

Makeup Marketing Online training courses are live and recorded web conferences with marketing, online, sales, recruiting, and leadership tips created by Emily Seagren for current Avon Representatives in the United States. The courses contain information on how to customize your Avon website, drive more traffic to your online store to potentially sell more Avon online, and use social media to build a bigger online Avon business.

The online training courses are about an hour in length each. These courses were created by Emily Seagren, Independent Avon Representative, and are not approved, endorsed, or affiliated with Avon Products, Inc. All material is based on my own personal knowledge and experience as an Avon Representative. Please remember to review Avon’s Advertising and Marketing Guidelines carefully and use your own judgement on what is and isn’t allowed before following any of my advice.

About the Trainer, Emily Seagren

Emily Seagren has been an Avon Representative since January 2008. She sells at the President’s Council level (over $112,000 annually), owns a Licensed Avon Beauty Center in Rockford, Illinois (Avon Store Perryville), and is an Executive Unit Leader with almost 200 Avon Representative team members in over 30 states nationwide. Emily sold over $46,000 of Avon products online and recruited 183 team members in 2014 as a result of her online marketing efforts. In 2014, her nationwide team of reps, Avon Team Momentum, sold over $513,600 in Avon products.

In 2015, Emily was awarded the prestigious award of Avon Woman of Enterprise. The Avon Woman of Enterprise award is presented to the Avon Representative who not only is leading and growing a successful Avon business, but does so while being a role model for other Representatives through her embodiment of the Avon Values of Belief, Integrity, Respect, Trust and Humility. Among the many North America Avon business owners, Avon selects only one Representative to receive this annual award.

Emily has earned all expense-paid trips to Hawaii, Punta Cana, Cancun, Puerto Rico, Hollywood, San Diego, Las Vegas, New York, Orlando, a cruise to the Bahamas, and a cruise to Alaska. In July 2014, Emily had brain surgery to remove a benign tumor. She was especially grateful at this time that she had a built a big Avon business that produces when she cannot work. Her goal is to reach Senior Executive Unit Leader and Inner Circle (over $220,000 annually) by the end of the 2016 cycle. She provides free marketing tips and training to Avon Reps across the country through blog posts and videos listed at www.makeupmarketingonline.com/training and www.makeupmarketers.com.

8 Ideas for Recruiting Avon Representatives – Online and Face-to-Face

8. Spend as much time on recruiting activities as you do sales activities. This may seem obvious but if recruiting is not part of your everyday routine, it can take some time to adjust. Whether you are out in the field or recruiting online, spend just as much of your time on recruiting as you do looking for new customers.

7. Follow established Avon Leaders. Follow these Avon Representatives to see how they have become successful and what works for them. Not everyone’s activities will have the same results but it helps to get a good grasp on what has worked for leaders who are already successful. Check out the “View from the Top” books (Vol 1, Vol 2, and Vol 3) and follow the authors. Many of them have created Facebook groups to join where you can network with other Avon Representatives.

6. Offer 3 opportunities to every contact. I like to use: 1) the Avon brochure to get personal sales, 2) a brightly colored label on the front of the book with a current Avon coupon code and my website address to encourage online sales, and 3) the $15 dollar bill flyer to promote the Avon earnings opportunity.

5. When setting up social media profiles, always include info on how someone can buy from you or sign up to sell Avon on your team. Include words “Buy or Sell” with your website address so you’re always putting the idea out there that someone can purchase their Avon products from you or become an Avon Representative on your team.

4. When posting about the Avon opportunity online, make it short, simple, and to the point. Include a benefit of selling Avon like “be your own boss, work flexible hours, etc.,” how much it costs to join, and how to sign up on your team. Include 2 – 3 sentences in your social media post and be sure to make it clear how they can sign up immediately.

3. Be sure to follow Avon Products, Inc. on YouTube. There is plenty of material on their YouTube channel for you to share on social media about the benefits of being an Avon Representative. Share these videos along with your link on how followers can sign up on your team.

2. Customize your Avon website. Include your eNewsletter widget (currently has an image of the Mega Effects Mascara) and your opportunity widget (blue widget with an image including a model and words “Be-you-tiful”) to encourage online subscriptions / enrollment on your team from your website visitors.

  1. Take advantage of your Social Media Center! The Social Media Center is located on yourAvon.com under your web office. There are “ready-to-go” posts and videos there to make it super simple to share on your social media websites like Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and more. Visit your Social Media Center at least once per campaign to keep your social media profiles active with new content.

How to Post Avon Campaign 24 Brochure on your Website

How do you post the Current Avon Catalog on your website? This is probably the most frequent question I get asked from Avon Representatives on How to Sell Avon Online. Here are step-by-step instructions on how to post Avon Campaign 24 2015 on your website.

If you have already followed the instructions on how to add the Avon brochure image to your website from me before, follow set A. instructions on how to update the image. If this is your first time adding the brochure image to your Avon website, follow set B. instructions. Please note: if you have already customized the main window widget on your website with a personal message but would like to try adding the current catalog image, you may want to save a copy of what you have there before making any changes so you have a back-up version to revert to in case you cannot get this to work.
Avon Key Campaign Dates

If you are going to put an image of the current brochure on your website, make sure you are able to commit your time to updating the image every time your website switches over to a new campaign (every other week). The online catalog on your eStore will automatically update but you will need to update the image on the home page at the start of every campaign. To find the schedule when your website changes over, go to yourAvon.com – my account – Key Campaign Dates. Ex: I am RPS 6 and my regular order is due every other Wednesday and my website switches over to the new campaign 2 days later (on Friday). I would let customers know they can shop Avon Campaign 24 2015 online 10/30 (Friday) – 11/12 (Thursday). My website will switch over to Avon Campaign 25 2015 on November 13th so I would let customers know they can shop Avon Campaign 25 2015 online 11/13 (Friday) – 11/26 (Thursday).

A. Instructions for Updating the Brochure Image on your Website

1. Log into yourAvon.com. Tip: When making changes to your Avon website, you may want to use Internet Explorer. YourAvon.com seems to be most compatible with Internet Explorer. Click on each image below to enlarge.

2. Click on the Web Office tab on the main toolbar (third tab from the left).

 3. Under eStore, click on edit eStore.

4. Click on the pencil icon (top right) in the main box (largest frame on the top left).

5. Click on the source button (it looks like this: </>) on the far right of your toolbar.

6. Find the line in your html that looks like this (highlighted in blue in the image below): src=”http://www.youravon.com/REPSuite/static/catalog/2015/23/en/images/p1.jpg” and replace the 23 with 24.

7. After you have updated the image source to show the brochure for Avon Campaign 24 2015, give your message a label to save your work and then click on the Save button.

B. Instructions for Adding the Avon Brochure to your Website for the First Time

5. Choose the option for Personal Message to display in the main window.

6. Select the edit source option on the top right side of the toolbar – the button that looks like this: </>.

7. Copy the data in the box below by highlighting all of it with your mouse – right click and select copy.

8. Paste the data you copied from the text box above by placing your cursor in the html box in your eStore then right clicking and selecting Paste.

9. The next step is to edit the account number after repid= where I have highlighted in blue. Replace my repid number with yours. Your repid number is your Avon account number. This will allow your customers to click on the front of the brochure cover to shop the online brochure on your Avon website.

10. The final step is to click on the edit source button again </>. Edit the text that I put in as sample text, give your screen a label name, and click save.

Placing your First Avon Order for New Reps – Here is the 3rd email I send out to new team members. On all 3 emails to my new reps, I copy their district sales manager so we can all get to know one another better especially since most of my team members are not local. You may use the district number and @avon.com for a quick way to cc their district manager. For example: my district is 5612. If I sign up an Avon Representative in our district, I will cc [email protected]

Dear (Insert first name),

At Avon, we are dedicated to your success and will match your commitment with guidance and support every step of the way!

Everything probably still feels new to you, so I wanted to touch base and call out a few things that will be pretty important for you to know.

Here are a few basics that will help you get a feel for your new business environment:

· Place your Order!
Here’s your step-by-step guide to placing your orders:

· Avon Campaign Cycle!
With Avon , our ordering cycle is a two-week Campaign. That means you will have access to brand new products, special offers and sales EVERY TWO WEEKS! How fabulous is that?!

· Let’s Talk Timing!
To keep all of the Representative deliveries running smoothly, Avon is on a shipping system called the Representative Processing Schedule (RPS). You are on RPS (insert number) which means that you can submit an order every other (insert day of the week order is due) by midnight to qualify for the lowest possible shipping fees. I have attached a copy of your ordering schedule. Your first order for (insert first Avon campaign) is due (insert first Avon campaign due date).

Avon Tip to Remember: Our new brochures and business tools are ordered right along with your Customer orders, so skipping any Campaign will delay your receipt of the most up-to-date tools, demos and brochures.

· What’s the minimum?
In order to earn commission, your orders must total $50 each campaign. Our earning structure is based on a “The more you sell, the more you earn!” philosophy. Work it and give yourself a raise every two weeks!
